PRIVATE HEALTH

What is an Exercise Physiologist (And Why See One)?
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a Master’s-degree allied health professional trained to deliver evidence-based clinical exercise.
Rather than a "one-size-fits-all" approach, EPs specialise in prescribing exercise from acute injuries to chronic and complex conditions.
We support individuals navigating chronic pain, long-term health conditions, injury rehabilitation, and living with a disability.
We design safe, tailored interventions that rebuild your strength and restore your independence.
Your program is built around your specific goals, adapted to your natural pace, and continually adjusted as your strength and confidence grow.

HOW IS EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY DIFFERENT TO PHYSIOTHERAPY AND PERSONAL TRAINING?
-
Physiotherapists: speciliase in acute injury management. They provide hands-on passive treatment modalities like massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling, and cupping.
-
Personal Trainers: help healthy populations (no injuries or medical conditions) reach their general fitness, body composition, and cardiovascular goals.
-
Exercise Physiologists: are fully qualified to assess and manage acute injuries but our speciality lies in the long-term management side of things. We help you navigate through, around, and with pain in a meaningful way to build and increase capacity, strength, function, and condition your body.
